Kids are important to St. Joseph's Remington Nature Center. We want you to be able to find some really cool nature information and have fun doing it. So, we've created a section just for you. In this section you'll find some cool web sites to view, fun things to do, and even a scavenger hunt for when you visit the nature center.
The Remington Nature Center of St. Joseph offers a unique education experience for groups of all ages. Some resources include:
Please join us at the Remington Nature Center every Friday at 10:30 a.m. for our Friday Fish Feeding Frenzy (PDF) event. Help us feed the Missouri River fish who live in our 7,000-gallon aquarium. Their diet consists of minnows, worms, corn, and peas. Observe the fish as they fatten their bellies. All children participating in the fish feeding will receive a fish feeding sticker badge.
Experience firsthand how archaeologists excavate sites at a mock dig. Contact staff at 271-5499 for more information.
Remington Nature Center staff may, on occasion, take photos of patrons visiting the center for general interest publication. Photos will be used exclusively by the city and strictly for the sole purpose of promoting the center
